sometimes you do not want more than what you have for you just can't sustain more, and others think its out of fear, but in truth it is the end you only can see

I was happy, I was whole

 in a time where misery prevailed

I was greater than the wind,

 I existed within the storm

Today was the only promise I made,

The moment is all I desired

Then you came,

and brought tomorrow

I wished for more time

 I wanted to make plans

I never had tomorrow,

I never had the hope of time

Now you made me lose today,

 by the worry of tomorrow

Some events might not happen to you alone, you might share it with someone else but none of you can speak of it ever again

 Not for love but for solace,
 We were young, we were helpless

 We had an unopened umbrella in one hand,
 Whilst the rain pounded down, soaking us both
 As the lights flickered green,we stood still
